I have had my car for a while now, and I've noticed especially since its cold outside now that when I drive with my window down wind clearly comes out from the speaker by my left leg. It doesn't blow when it's all the way up, and curiously it doesn't blow when the window is all the way down. The only time it blows from the speaker is when the window is somewhere in between. I have looked at all the moldings and theres no place where the wind could get sucked into the speaker, it just... blows out of it.
Anyone else notice this or have this problem? Is there any fix for this? |

are you sure it is coming from your speaker or on the door gap?

Pretty obvious problem here - http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=57246
taking a look at this thread in the first pic you can see that the plastic weatherproofing does not exstend as far forward as the door speaker. You must have a hole in the speaker or an odd size speaker that in some way is allowing the air to come through it's grill. When the window is all the way up air cannot get inside the door itself to come out the speaker. When the window is all the way down the window itself blocks the hole and won't let [much] air come through. When it's inbetween you've just created a channel for the air to come through. Look through that thread - there are some other pictures there that will help you understand how the window/door works. I suspect your window molding is also somewhat faulty on the outside of the window or else the window falls towards the driver and does not seal up against the molding - it happens alot - especailly about the age out cars are getting. Hope this helps This post has been edited by DEATH: Mar 26, 2009 - 11:18 AM -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them.
