Hey guys,
I'm changing my rear engine mount on my 94 st celica with automatic tranny. I have manage to take the old one out but putting the new one back in true the 2 crossmembers is giving me trouble. does someone has any suggestions? thx!!! |

I had trouble with this too, remove the cross member, remove the one going down the car. |

lift the tranny in the rear to give space. that helps. you have to release the front support

I just loosened the bolts of the whole crossmember and jacked up the tranny to give it room to move in. Then the trick is to play with it to get it in.

yup, you just have to rotate the motor a little to gain a little clearance to slide into place.

Hey guys,
Thx very much for your tips! I had to strugle a bit, but it finally went in. In my case I had to unjack the tranny to have enough clearance. But I have strugle the hole weekend with this.......my entire body is in pain now hahahahah Thx again guys! |

yes putting in the rear motor mount is the hardest task to do, if you can do it a tranny swap is cake!!!
