I found this on ebay today..The base of the distributor cap is about 3.5 inches. (3 1/2 OD, 3 1/8 ID). So I'm wondering if this would work as a cheap blanking cap, just have to make some tabs on the side. I was going to make one out of I/C piping and a flat piece of aluminum and melt some alumaloy to hold it together, but this looks like an even better idea. Better than spending $80+ on a blanking cap at least.
