I've recently seen alot of thereads on how to build a 5sfte and in most of these threads I see(get 3sgte manifold it bolts right up). With that out in the open My question is this. If the gte manifold can fit on an fe can an fe intake manifold fit on a 3sgte? It sounds like a dumb question But the only dumb question is one that's not asked. So does anyone have any info on this or has done it or even attempt just for research reasons?

Also, I 've herard as long as u have an S54 tranny it will bolt right up the the gte turning in from AWD to FWD now with that out there too, wut clutch and flywheel is needed for this swap, fe clutch if an fe tranny, gte clutch if a gte tranny, or does it even matter.

As well, is there (king of the mountian) EMS out there that will greatly improve my power gains?

And lastely, wut is the best turbo on the market for the gte right now and how much of a power gain dos it offer?

The reason for the questions is Im here in the very very near future going to purchase a 3sgte and scrap my 3sfe but I will be useing my fe tranny and if all is right in the world my intake manifold as well.

But I need the answers to these questions before I can even begin to buy.

If there are any websites, threads, books, or software that u know about that might help me out please fill me in, I would greatly appreciate it.

I've recently seen alot of thereads on how to build a 5sfte and in most of these threads I see(get 3sget manifold it bolts right up). With that out in the open My question is this. If the gte manifold can fit on an fe can an fe intake manifold fit on a 3sgte? It sounds like a dumb question But the only dumb question is one that's not asked. So does anyone have any info on this or has done it or even attempt just for research reasons? On the 1st gen and 2nd gen 3sgte heads they had a TVIS system. Meaning they had a flapper door to gain some low end torque. The intake manifolds instead of being 4 ports like the fe head has 8.

Also, I 've herard as long as u have an S54 tranny it will bolt right up the the gte turning in from AWD to FWD now with that out there too, wut clutch and flywheel is needed for this swap, fe clutch if an fe tranny, ge clutch if a ge tranny, or does it even matter.

The S series tranny has a smaller spline IIRC. E series had a Bigger one. But I forgot which was smaller and bigger, because of this difference you can't interchange the clutch disc. Thats why 3s swappers sticking with the s54 trans uses a 5s clutch disc with 3s pressure plate to mate to the 3s flywheel.

As well, is there (king of the mountian) EMS out there that will greatly improve my power gains?

Any EMS is better than a piggyback. Get one that your tuner knows how to tune with. Or the one you will be willing to learn on. Some standalones are cheaper than the others. Its your choice.

And lastely, wut is the best turbo on the market for the gte right now and how much of a power gain dos it offer?

Its all up to you. Do you want stock spool with some power? Build your motor around the gt28. Do you want crazy power get a gt35. Anything is better than the ct turbos.

Oh might I add. If you go with a 2nd gen 3sgte find a 1st gen 3sge intake manifold. The fmic piping will look cleaner. But imho be like the smart ones and pick up a 3rd gen and call it a day. No TVIS, No AFM, better turbo.
