So my car has these crappy gorilla hex socket lugs (which i don't really like since they seem to be all rusted inside from the key wrench scratching it)

Anyway, since these lugs require that key wrench to remove them and wheel locks require the wheel lock key, is it safe to put the wheel lock key/lug nut key wrench into an impact socket and use an impact wrench to remove them or would they shatter?

i just bought an impact gun for changing tires and don't wanna mess up anything.

Impact guns should break the key. you should only use a four way...

nah you're fine..wrap the key in black electrical tape as to not to scratch the rims. invest in mcguard for the future...best on the market...I love my set...guaranteed not to rust.

You should never use an impact gun on wheel locks. It could potentially break the key or the wheel lock or both. You should break the lugs loose by hand, and tighten with a torque wrench.

It depends on if you want to re-use the locks. At work I would impact wheel locks off all the time, but we threw away every set of locks that we took off so it didn't matter if they got messed up. Now I wouldn't recommend doing it with like a 1,000 ft-lb Matco impact or anything lol

Should be fine, just make sure the socket can take the beating.
