Just as the title says, I have excessive torque steer. I've had the car aligned multiple times in the past two years with no success. The car is under spec for alignment, but still wants to pull to right; I have even installed camber bolts to compensate for the pull. The reason I believe it to be torque steer is because when the car is cruising in neutral, or no gas is applied, it will drive perfectly straight. Only when the gas pedal is pushed down will I get the pull. I have checked the control arms and tirerods and they appear to be just fine. Any suggestions? This member also had a similar problem...

Did you have your control arms tightened down as suggested in the thread you linked to?

Checked them again last night and everything is lock-solid tight. Could a bad motor mount affect alignment? Any other ideas?

doesn't hurt to check...
what if you're on a surface that is inclined down towards the left (passenger side higher than the driver side), does it still torque steer to the right?
i get some torque steer too but it really hasn't bothered me much... not enough to think that there's something wrong with the car.

Yeah, it certainly helps counteract the pull to the right, but it still wants to veer in that direction. No, the car has not been in any sort of accident. The only thing I can think of is that maybe I ran over some huge pot-hole when I first got the car (it has been this way a long time)? If something was bent I imagine that could cause problems. Would a mechanic be able to diagnose something like that?
