So I'm curious about possibly identifying and pinpointing this noise I'm getting coming from the front right side of my car. Basically It sounds like there like there is a chain or a small chain dragging on the ground when I'm driving and its only noticeable when I have the passenger side window down. Nothing loud or obnoxious yet and I'm experiencing no pulling or anything of that likelihood. Had a respectable mech check out my front right side wheel bearing only to find that its alright.

So the big question is, think it could be the brake disc/caliper or rotors? Or could it possibly just be the wheel bearing just being noisy to be noisy? So far I'm not worried over it all that much, not until it starts getting obnoxiously loud that is wink.gif

Yeah if I get some time later on I'll see what we can't figure out. Just seeing what some people think or possibly know what it could be by any chance.

well if you check your axle cuz i had a similar sound and it turned out to be the Clamp ring thingy that clamps on the CV boot had came loose and was rattling around on the Axle, but if a Mechanic checked it out then Im sure he would have seen that

Yeah no mentions of them being loose by my mech and on a side note I just checked both rings that clamp them down and they were both on there really tight so I'm going to rule that out for now.

You check for dead bodies? tongue.gif

I've only had this happen once, and it was because the wheel well plastic was loose and would rub on my tire from time to time. Check your wheel wells for any worn spots.

I'm going to take the tire off tomorrow sometime if I get time and check to see if all the bolts etc are nice and tight. Are the brake pistons visible from just pulling the tire off or is there more involved into seeing them? Never really checked into this stuff before let alone taking a tire off myself. ( Except when I got a flat awhile back mad.gif ) Lol

if they are stuck they look like they are in the braking position.
