I have ground control Coilovers on my car right now matched with the Koni Yellow's. I had them on my car since April 2003 which makes them only 7 months old. How much could I sell these for? Looking to buy the Tein's or the JIC Magics.

I might be selling them if I can get a good price for them.

I'd say cut what you spent in half...?
but since Koni's are expensive, I'd go with maybe $$400-500 for both?

Why are you selling them? What's wrong with this set up? Did they not ride well?

He just wants some a better setup. With Teins and JIC's, you're getting the complete coilover. Adjustable shocks built in with a coilover system. Much better quality. I might be looking to buy the front Koni's from you tongue.gif

Oops, I didn't realize I asked why he's thinking about selling until I reread the post. Mah bad.

How much are JIC's going to run you or Teins? $1000+?

Wish I had the $$$ to get a better set up. But I'm looking into doing the Koni set up.

White_GTS, can I ask how was the ride REALLY? As far as the rebound on the Konis with the GC's? I'd really like to know.

That's the beauty of the Koni's. The adjustablility. Stiff for twisties, soft for cruising. JIC's will run you about 1250 for the SA2 model (5 way adjustable). The ride would all depend on how lowered he had it.

Well the ride is okay but I rather have the full setup. The Koni Yellows are great with the Ground Control but I want better suspension. One of my buddy has the JIC setup on his Celica and it handles better. I still get some noice here and there when I drive but not all the time. When you have the full setup it is much better over all and it's quite. I would say I still have just under 3 finger gabs from my tire to my fender. I can't drop it that much cause I have a kit and I don't want to scrape on ever driveway I go to.

Basically with the money that I spend on both I could if Got the JIC magic's. I would of goth them if I've knew that my stock shocks would blow. And when I got my ground controls on they blew the same day. So to anyone that plans on lowering their car I would forget about the springs or coilovers and just get the full setup. Cause in the end your going to have to change them both or spend around the same amount.

I'm going to couple of shops to find out what's the damage the Tein's or JIC Magic's gonna cost me. I'll get back to you guys on this once I find out the price for my new setup first. However I won't know till next week cause everything is closed this weekend since it is Thanksgiving long weekend right now.

Jon

they lose warranty once they transfer from the original owner. I bought some Koni's new on ebay and when I contacted Koni thats what they told me.

I don't think they would know. I have the orignal receipt for the Koni Yellows still. Same for the CoilOvers. If that helps. They have life time warranty on them.

I wonder what they'd say if I got them new in the box from you and then installed them wink.gif

Might have to check into it as long as you are serious about it.
