Can you literally swap the ecus over....i thought they would be programmed to specific engines etc?

Well found out what the problem was it wasn't the ECU. I decided for ****z and giggles to swap in my old dizzy to see what would happen and guess what the car fired right up so the new dizzy I have must be defective not sending any signals to the ECU I'll have to return it thanks everyone.



Whats a dizzy mate? Im having a similar problem to you....

Distributor. The one that the spark plug wires come out of. Yes you can swap ecu's, i did the same.

Dizzy=Distributor The brand new distributor I bought was defective, next time I'm just gonna get mines rebuild by a reputable shop.
