well... im going to buy scothaniels s64 trany, he told me that it doesnt have the built in LSD so i need to buy one. the only LSDs i can find are about a thousand dollars and thats from takakaira in Japan. is there anyone stateside that sell LSD for the s64 (3s-ge) trany? scot also told me that i could get the factory LSD for the ss-ii trany, but would that work well with the 3s-gte? also, does anyone know the part number for the toyota LSD?

you can sometimes find LSD's on ebay for cheaper than a grand.. there is an MR2 one that I once saw online for 450 new that when I asked them about it would work with the 3sge tranny... If I can find a link or the page I will post it but that was a while ago so who knows if I can find it agian

Are you gonna be doing a swap? If not, that tranny and the LSD will do you no good, cause you have an ST. It won't fit...basically. Other wise, a LSD is not essential... but it's nice to have because high powered FWD cars typically have traction issues. However, if costs is a factor, It's not an essential...especially if you don't plan on pushing a lot of power.

of course im doing the swap, damn... those questions about double intercoolers and intercoolers on N/A cars have really got you guys paranoid. anyway, money is not really a problem, i would just like to buy a limited slip from a place that has no problem take US currency. |
