well... im going to buy scothaniels s64 trany, he told me that it doesnt have the built in LSD so i need to buy one. the only LSDs i can find are about a thousand dollars and thats from takakaira in Japan. is there anyone stateside that sell LSD for the s64 (3s-ge) trany? scot also told me that i could get the factory LSD for the ss-ii trany, but would that work well with the 3s-gte? also, does anyone know the part number for the toyota LSD?

you can sometimes find LSD's on ebay for cheaper than a grand.. there is an MR2 one that I once saw online for 450 new that when I asked them about it would work with the 3sge tranny... If I can find a link or the page I will post it but that was a while ago so who knows if I can find it agian

Are you gonna be doing a swap? If not, that tranny and the LSD will do you no good, cause you have an ST. It won't fit...basically. Other wise, a LSD is not essential... but it's nice to have because high powered FWD cars typically have traction issues. However, if costs is a factor, It's not an essential...especially if you don't plan on pushing a lot of power.

of course im doing the swap, damn... those questions about double intercoolers and intercoolers on N/A cars have really got you guys paranoid.

anyway, money is not really a problem, i would just like to buy a limited slip from a place that has no problem take US currency.

Heh... I don't even remember that... the n/a intercooler thing... funny...

Anyways, talk to Ray (kuya)...I believe he has a s64 tranny and an LSD... for sale. It might have been already sold...but he's mentioned he has one.

Im looking into the same thing, SSII or III tranny, LSD is kinda an option right now i'd just like the tranny right now.

I found a LSD for the 3s-ge trany at overboost.com made by kaaz for only $800.
and a clutch and flywheel for the 88-89 celica gts at clutch masters.

so i can sleep again!!!
