hey, maybe somebody can figure this out: one day i turned on my car and the right speakers arent working. then i start backing out and as i put down the pedal and the rpms start going up there is this whistling sound coming from the speakers.....the higher the rpms, the higher the whistling. (and the speakers arent playing any music, only the left ones are.)

so i turn off the cd player (stock cd player) and keep driving.......and its still whistling! even w/the cd player off! then i turn it back on and balance it so all the music is on the right side because now there is actually some sound coming out, and it is really quiet. so i balanced it so it was about equal for both sides and turn it up so i can hear. (the balanced position of the knob isnt in the middle like it should be).

my setup is in my profile but just so u dont have to look: it has the 8 speaker setup with the tweeter, mids, then the sub on each door. then the 2 in the back. and a sub in the trunk. i have a memphis 4-way amp.

i checked all the wires that are connected directly to the amp and theyre all okay. if any of this is confusing please tell me. i hope someone can help! thanks.

The whistle is a ground loop. Because you said one side wasn't playing at first it sounds like you're RCA cables may be loose. Check them at the back of the radio.

move the ground for the amp to the bolts or the rear strut towers...thats what i use.

also i am guessing that you are using speaker level inputs too

so check all the speaker wire and connections.
