very much doubt any of those pic's are in game footage, despite it going massively over the time schedule it will still be full of bugs and will need patching every day for the first 2 weeks after it's release just to make it playable, then 3 weeks after its release they will announce the new "prestige" DLC priced at £30/$47 giving you 4 new cars including such classic as the mk iv supra from fast and the furious and the 1968 Ford Mustang GT from Bullitt and a couple of other officially licensed race tracks

lol hi mr grumpy tongue.gif

Yeah, it's actual footage. I've played it.

With over 1000 cars in the game, i don't think you'll need to buy another 4 wink.gif

not grumpy just a realist, that's usually what happens in video games since the invention of the "next gen" consoles (the xbox 360 and the PS3)

x2 - Especially with the Gran Turismo franchise. They've never made it to deadline other than the first one... but thats just because NO ONE was expecting it. When they do finally release the game its riddled with bugs, and that DLC pissed me off.

That game would be one of the main reasons for me buying a PS3; but since all the BS in the past with GT - I still have yet to purchase one.

Although that screenshot of the R8 Quattro is now my desktop background... so HERE'S HOPING the new GT delivers! biggrin.gif

[/end rant]

Hey D;

I'll keep the personal update in a PM.

As for Gran Turismo; the reason I love the GT-Four is because of the original Gran T. So you'll hear no argument from me that GT is the best driving simulator evar! I just like to whine like a little baby when they Postpone the launch date over and over... tongue.gif

Don't worry lads, the November release is confirmed, and the PS3 has a 10 year lifespan according to Sony.... Although i don't think it can keep up with PC games for that long....

I actually think it's pretty embarrassing how long it's taken to make this game, but with the stuff i've heard recently, like the kart racing and the course creator, i think it will just about live up to the massive hype smile.gif

I just can't wait to use the Top Gear test track. Know how awesome it'll be to try to match the Stig's laptimes in-game? I can't wait for that.

smile.gif Good idea! We could have our own lap time competition with a 6GC as the reasonably priced car smile.gif

If enough people are into it, i could set a timetrial, with a different car/track every week once we've got into it smile.gif
Plus we could arrange a few race meets biggrin.gif

^ FAWK YES!

I bet you they'll put a Liana into the game just so people can try to beat celebrities' times as well. I just want to beat 1:50...yes you Jezza, I'm looking at you!

Holy crap...check this trailer out. At 33 seconds, you can see the Kapellbrücke in Luzern (Switzerland), where I was born! That's insane.

http://gamescom.gamespot.com/video/6273729/

I think I'll have to buy a wheel for this, it looks so fawkdamn amazing.

Okay, so I just had a thought...I already have an AK Rocker chair and I think I'll get the Logitech Driving Force GT wheel. Now, I need something to secure that bad boy to anyway, so why not build myself a custom rig to fit said chair?

I cannot wait for this to come out. Matt, what's your PSN ID? And anyone else who cares, feel free to PM me your PSN ID (or ask for mine). biggrin.gif

^ Yeah, that's cool and all as far as buying pre-made stands go, but it's completely retarded to buy something like that. You can't pull a Logitech and create your own steering wheel, but with a little ingenuity and a fifth of the money it would take to buy that, you can make your own stand, of higher quality than that thing.

Dude, you has a PS3, might as well use all the capabilities. How else do you imagine this showdown going on anyway? We'd have to take screenshots of lap times to prove it.

PM'd on the other matter.
