Please do not post the same thread in multiple forums.
And I can't answer your question, because you've given us absolutely zero information about what you want out of your car. There are a handful of swaps, but without knowing what YOU want and what YOU are looking to spend we cannot help you. A 3S-GTE swap is expensive (getting cheaper) and will give you plenty of HP, but for an ST it requires a bit of work to drop it in. I'm not going to elaborate because there are many many threads (look in the stickies at the top of the Forced Induction forum) that outline the swap. Can get good gas mileage if you keep it out of boost, but where is the fun in that? A 4A-GE from an AE101 or AE111 Corolla is a drop in swap for the ST, but will only net you 130-140whp. Good for daily driving, as it gets decent gas mileage. A 1MZFE or 3VZFE swap is a V6 motor from a Camry, and many other Toyotas. It's only been done a handful of times, so info is scarce, but it will give you 180-190hp without the help of a turbo. A 3S-GE swap will cost just about as much as a 3S-GTE swap, because of the parts that are required to install a S-series motor. These come in some Euro and JDM Celicas, and I believe in 98 the 3S-GE got VVT and is commonly referred to as the BEAMS motor. So now that I have given you a bit of general info, why don't you try and give us some about what your goals are, and what your budget is. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

1000 at the most, you can get a replacement 7A from a junkyard.
3S swap is between 3,000 and 6,000, depending on if you have a GT or ST, and if you do the work yourself of not. If you save up a bit more you can get a 4A-GE 20V. Silvertop clips are around 1000, but you'll need to go the wiring, or send it to Dr_Tweak (he's a member on here) and he can convert your harness for about $350. What is nice about that is that now your motor is plug and play. You'll need a new clutch, and its best if you replace the engine gaskets while the motor is out of the car. Gasket kits cost around 200-300 for the 20V. So if you save up at least 2,000 you might be able to do a 20V swap. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money
