Is there a difference between st185 and an st205 converter as they are the same in shape and bolt up mainly the internal lay i need to know as i have just Failed emissions (head wrecked) and everything else is fine no leaks but timing slightly off.

Should fit, but you may have 1 stud on exhaust side of turbo unsed.

Should fit, but you may have 1 stud on exhaust side of turbo unsed. Oh no fits perfect to be honest have it on already. The thing is my car failed emission so im wondering would the inside of the cat be differrent to manage different fuel load for each model of celica or would they be the same. Its was .4?? on CO levels timing is off so think thats whats causing it. |

WTF? You guys have emissions out there too? At least I know who I can get the converter from now when I get my front clip now. Guess I should renew the membership at ol GT4oc.

Yeah they are starting to get strickter on it and increasing tax on cars that have larger engines.

If your CO was high and the other two readings were low (not even just passing, but well within specs) then take a look at your O2 sensor. If your timing is off, that might also produce much the same results as a rich AFR, which can also produce a high CO reading.

If your timing is off, that might also produce much the same results as a rich AFR, which can also produce a high CO reading. Redoing the timing now having bother with the timing belt though just changed it and now rubbing off the engine and buring so getting hole new kit as i think one of the pullies are off. Will check the sensor though could well be it. |
