Can someone tell me the specs on a Benz C320? I think thats what i raced yesterday morning on my way to work. It was like a late 90's model, maybe 98? OR any benz in that class?

Ok this is how it went. I was going west down Slauson around 5:30AM. When i stopped at a red light. Then this dumb guy in a black benz takes off pretty quickly. I just ignored it. But there was a VAN that started to ride my A$$ cwm13.gif as i started moving, then he switched lanes pulled up next to me to try to pass me but that ticked me off i was like "What in the world are you thinking?" So i just pick it up enough to leave him like 10 cars behind me and switch right back into his lane. BUt guess where that brought me? Right behind the BENZ. biggrin.gif I still didnt think anything about it until we were at another red light about to hope on to the 90 freeway. I actually just started "Granny Shifting" and the Benz was right on me and kinda picking up some good speed. SO i just said F**k it, I gunned it in forth and KILLED that benz. By the time I hit 80mph he backed off and got behind me. owned.gif

But like i said I'm not sure what the specs are on that car, IF it even was that car. I am pretty sure i did see a 3 on it and i know BENZ's are usually really heavy. SO i don't know if you guys would consider that a good win but a win none the less.

probably a regular C320, not the AMG. the regular ones are rated at 215 hp in a car much heavier than our Celi's. the AMG on the other hand puts out 349 hp. definetly a force to be reckoned with. smile.gif

The older ones ranged from 125hp to about 320hp. So it really depends on what engine it had... theres like 5 different choices.

you probably encountered an older model W202 C-Class. The new C320 makes a good 217hp... and is pretty fast.

those C230s with their naturally aspirated 2.3L 16V I4 motor are pretty gutless I think. But they return good fuel economy. The C220s are even worse. I beat one off the line with my old mercedes diesel wink.gif but of course as soon as the diesel ran out of steam at high rpm the 220 just drove past.

the C280's are faster and had a sweet I6 motor. The 268hp C36 is FAST! I drove one the other day... wow... the motor's rush at higher engine speeds was amazing.
But...the ultimate smile.gif.. C43 AMG with its 302hp V8... is the one to have wink.gif

or.. if you go to Europe you can even have a C55! yup... 350hp

he's got a 3sgte swap in a coupe. probably ~250 hp in a ~2600 lb car. a late model C320 puts out ~215 hp in a ~3300 lb car. he would murder it. no?

His profile says he has a 2nd gen 3sgte, so thats 225hp if its j-spec. Also, does a gt coupe really only weigh 1600? cuz i thought civics and other feather hondas weighted like 2000 at the most?? i dunno confused.gif

lol. sorry I've been doing art all day, my right brain stopped functioning. your right I was trying to type ~2600 and the other car is ~3300... lol

as for the ~250 figure. I saw he had an fmic so therefore my assumption was he turned the boost up.
