neither.
you will need to have an exhaust shop make a new exhaust for you. 3inch is recommended.

its a different engine. the downpipe is in a different position than your st headers, and the factory st exhaust is too small for a turbo car.
if this is a huge problem, than your not going to like all the rest of the stuff you need to do to finish your swap.

haha i agree with lagos..if its a big problem then i say you shouldnt attemp the swap..the exhaust isnt even the least of your problems.

st headers

Header... wink.gif

yea...did you start the swap yet? just read all the info you can..the st swap is the biggest pain in the @ss....if your not to connected with your car, i would suggest trying to sell it and pick up a gt with a blown motor, or a shell, with the trans, axles, and what not...its much easier...it CAN be done...it just takes a little more work then the GT

Take the 7afe out, then drop the 7afe exhaust, then put in the 3sgte,bring it to an exhaust shop and they will make u a 3" exhaust for roughly 300$

define be fine??
if you mean its going to run... then yes... is it going to give all the performance it can? no... bigger exhaust on a turbo is always better... perfect would be no downpipe at all... straight out exhaust turbo housing... but now you are getting into idle issues... some guys run 4"... some 2 1/2... as stated in the very first few posts... 3" is recommended... best of both worlds... smooth idle and good for reducing turbo backpressure...

on a 3s, a 3" exhaust will make more power than a 2.5 or 2.75" exhaust, even with minor mods.
dyno proven over on mr2oc.
most aftermarket mufflers you see with a 3" inlet will have at least a 3.75-4" tip.
IIRC defgeph's tip is 4.75"..i double dog dare you to tell HIM it looks rediculous. lmao
