A few months back a purchused a 1994 gt that had been in a little fend bender. The kids parents were selling the car because clearly he wasn't ready to drive. I bought it for 800 trailered it home and began to inspect the damage. I got underneath the car and it was clean as can be, something very hard to find in NY. Besides the hood and bumper everything else looked pretty promising. The longer the car sat the more i began thinking about doing a swap, not just the motor though, the whole drivetrain. Doing some research and seeing it was dubbed as nearly impossible i thought why not. I got on the phone with Keith at RPMGarage in Japan and after shooting some number back and forth my dreams are coming true. He was able to hook me up with a WRC front clip, the rear diff, an extra 3sgte motor, recarro seats, and some other parts for an amazing price. The parts were just loaded onto a ship and i was told it's gonna be 4 weeks. I'm just super excited and can't wait to start this project. I'll try to keep stuff up to date and post pics when i can.

You must be the luckiest guy alive...for a little front damage, 800 is absolutely a STEAL. So what's gonna happen with your existing 6GC, keeping it as DD? And those are 7GC rims right?

looks like the body parts arrived safely... unlike other sellers that will package/protect it very poorly and end up being trashed on arrival.
if i ever had to buy a clip, i would buy it from rpmgarage for quality parts.

so you got it...gl on the conversion - you might opt if problems get tough to just end up with a FWD 3sgte instead of All trac. Which is still good in my opinion.

Thanks for the support guys. My plans were to do a rhd, awd, 3sgte swap. As for the super struts the clip i got didn't include the struts so i most likely will be running tein coilovers. Color is still in the air, I work part time at a sign shop and we have a full paint booth so choices are endless. Most like it wil be shot with that hot toyota red cause my supra is the same color.

If you're open to more work, go for something really complex; I've seen this red that I fell in love with a couple months ago, forgot the name, but it's a special finish that is cherry-ish dark red at the lighest and at it's darkest is almost black. It's beautiful.

PS'ed onto my car.

I'd say don't even try to go with Super strut suspension, yes they perform better, but their replacement parts are a lot more expensive and they do need to be replace a lot more often than McPherson, a lot of GT4s and SS III have swapped over to McPherson suspension because of this. Tein SS coilovers are great so stick with that idea.

3L2 red is perfect, my car was that color once, now is some kind of dirty / faded / sun burned looking red. but hopefully things work out for me and I'll get a fresh paint sometime next year.
