i've been looking at threads of people repainting their celicas..(especially the yelli celli..wow! =]) and searching around on the web i've come across people mixing in paint reducer into their color choice of paint...is this neccesary? what purpose does it serve?

When paint is mixed and sold in cans it is extremely thick. When you spray cars, it's best to dilute the paint somewhat before putting it through your spray gun. The only issue is finding out the right mixture, every paint is a little bit different. Once you get it set, it's best to do many light and thin coats, this will give better durability and a better sheen.
