It was a pain in the ass to get wired because my head unit didnt have anything for the REM to go into so i wired it to something in my fuse box. In the end we spend 6 solid hours on this. It was the first time me and my friends had done anything like that but i would imagine the next time will take about 45 minutes . WAY more than i expected for 230 dollars (best buy). It came with sub, enclosure, wires, amp, window sticker (a necessity), everything. It bumps really hard. but not too much for the car to handle. no rattling. ill see how long i have it before i blow something.

What are you expecting to blow? A fuse or your back window? The latter will take a ton of force. Hatch glass can flex pretty far actually.
Wiring stereos is always an adventure. -------------------- |

Wiring stereos is always an adventure. ive read some mixed reviews on this particular setup. some people say that they blew the sub. so far i love it. i mean i gotta fix the rattling but it sounds really good. and yes it was an adventure and i get to do it again when i replace the other speakers and the head unit. |

if the sub blows then just replace that part with a higher quality sub

Most fun I had was hooking up a 2400 watt D class mono block to an old Bazooka 6 1/2" coaxial speaker and seeing how long it lasted. There was so much smoke but it ran for about 7 seconds before seizing completely.
Edit: Also the time I bridged my 1 farad cap with a wrench after snapping off a defective terminal post screw. This post has been edited by Sinyk: Jul 22, 2009 - 2:32 PM -------------------- |
