im looking for a black center armrest (the padding+cover to center glove box i think) for my celica. the only place ive seen it for sale online has it for like $50+ so if anyone knows where i can get one cheap...?

you are looking for the larger padded armrest correct? because, in the celica, some came w/ just the slim pad, which is the lid to the console, but then some celicas (mostly automatics) came w/ a larger pad clipped onto the slim pad/cover. are you looking for EVERYTHING? or just one or the other? that may help your search a little.

mines a manual with the pad, but mines ripped. Chrobis has been saving his for me.. but if ur seriously interested give him a shout. I just cant dig up teh money for that right now.

Actually, the tall armrest and the short one are the same. There is clips holding the add-on piece to make it higher, I took mine off

Just go to a fabirc store, buy some vinyl take out all of the staples holding down the old cover, peel the old cover off, unstitch the stitching, copy the shape of the old piece and cut out a new piece, slightly larger if you're fairly bad at sewing... put it all together, by hand or with a machine. Slip the new cover back on, re-staple, you're finished. I re-did my shiftboot, made an e-brake boot, and re-fabbed my center pad for less than 3 dollars with some really neat looking rivited black vinyl... matches the 7thgen Celica leather Steering wheel, matrix shift knob, and 7thgen e-brake handle very nicely.
