I just did a 3sge swap and i want to kno if i buy a 3sgte i can get extra hp if i pu the 3sge head on the 3sgte? If is possible thanx in advance fir the help

you could do this to gain more hp from the 3sge but downside is you will have to change your pistons to low compression pistons, as the 3sge factory is a high compression engine..i would leave it as is, research some other mods to do. if you want way more power just go with the full 3sgte....be easier in the longrun anyways...

you misread opie.
There is a mild gain from swapping the bigger 3SGE cams over to the 3SGTE, otherwise I think they are pretty much the same. 3rd Gen 3S-GE M/T In: 252deg, 9.8mm lift Ex: 240deg, 8.2mm lift 3rd Gen 3S-GTE In: 240deg, 8.7mm lift Ex: 236deg, 8.2mm lift You might be able to use the 3SGE shims when you swap the cams over. -------------------- |
