I have a 99 gt convertible. As you have heard, had engine fire. One component I am having trouble salvaging is the map sensor (thanks for helping w/ I.D.). Toyota part number is 89420-0W040 st 204 . I need one of these, does anyone have used, or any ideas what else may work? This one has 3 electrical prongs. Thanks.

Go to 1sttoyotaparts.com and punch the part number in to their lookup program and it'll tell you what other vehicles share the same map sensor - then you can have a look at a junkyard. There is a Toyota wrecking yard a couple miles from me and I can go see if I can't salvage a map sensor for you.

Edit: just looked it up, and it says it's only for a Celica- and it's $269 dollars!!!

I don't know if this yard has any 6th gens, but I'm going today anyways, so I'll keep an eye out for you.

Thanks , if you find one glad to purchase it. Hopefully I don't have to buy new.

. Depending on the car/year you get it from you may have to cut off the plug with the map and wire it in, cause the plug might be diffrent.
