i have a 94 celica ST the spoiler (OEM) looks like its just 4 bolts located under the hatch (2 on each side). I removed them and it wouldnt come off. I pushed and pulled, nothing! I got a screwdriver, and pryed a little (not too much dont want to ruin the paint on my car). And pulled a bunch more, its a little looser on the left side but i pulled for like a hour (or at least felt like it). Is there some mystery clip or adhesive under there, i dont want to break my old spoiler as i can sell it. can any one tell me how to remove it?
also, when installing the new VIS spoiler, should i use some sort of double sided tape? or any thing? thanks for any info anyone can give me.

There are "tabs" that stick out from the spoiler that go into another set of holes, but it should pull straight out. Just try using more elbow grease.

I just went back out and really started pryin and the front part seems to be looser, but the back is just really sturdy how many clips are there?
you think will the spoiler break before the clips (its on there GOOD) just want an opinion, not holdin it to ya

Pegs, that's the word I was looking for. There are two pegs (on my 3 post) between the outer two bolt holes.

you have to take off the plastic lining on the inside of the trunk! there is one bolt on each side that is hidden under the plastic. dont force the spoiler to come out. It should come out with ease

You didn't take off the plastic first? Wow.

Yeah, I assumed you had done that.

When you look at the under side of the 94/95 hatch you can easily make that mistake, seeing as there are two bolts on each side where the spoiler appears to bolt to (without removing the plastic and to reveal the correct bolt). It's an easy to make mistake that the 96+ hatches don't have.

I'm not calling him slow nor do I mean to be offensive, but I would assume that he read a guide or something, there are plenty here.
