Lets bring this back from the dead!!!!

I've been feeling so down, and overwhelmed over this car.... Wait for the long winded story...

I have been keeping the car at my grandparents house. Both my grandparents have passed away and my brother is living there.. Talk of the will and my grandfathers estate has started. Basically, thoughts were the house was going to be sold. This is why out of nowhere I started pushing for my car to be sold. I was getting offers on the car but none seemed to pan out. Maybe, I was too honest. I was very open about the problems with the car. I rather people know what they are getting into. Next, I was looking into trades...almost traded for a 300zx tt but passed up. Nothing ever seems good enough. As of now the car can stay where it is and the house is not being sold. Two weeks ago, I had my niece and nephews birthday bbq at my brothers where the car is parked. I didn't know everyone. Anyway, I look up to a crowd around my car. My brother was laughing while pointed at me and said thats my sisters car. A few mins later I was popping the hod explaining everything and they we in love. It just poured so much pride into me. I've been so down about the car and so blah about it. It gave me new life.

After thinking...I've decide I have to really finish this car. I can't give up... I'm not going to sell, unless, I really get an offer I can't refuse.

Now, I gotta get me the w2a pump and the rear passenger side caliper.

This story is going to have a happy ending.

Side note... Once I get the car on the road I have a garage I can work in with some nice tools... I even found a sand blaster..do you think its easy to use? Should I use it on my rims and maybe some engine parts?

*guy from those Adam Sandler movies* YOUUUUU CANNNNN DOOOOOO ITTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!! I have faith in you, and just think how great you'll feel once it's all done! That's all the optimism I had in me, so don't let it die in vain. tongue.gif

As for the sandblaster, really need to find out what media it can use. Maybe can find a manual for it or something.

Good to see your interest restored!

Sandblasting without a cabinet is super messy and very time consuming. I tried blasting my wheels and each wheel took around 30 mins or more. Then we had to stop and scoop up the sand and re-fill the blaster. It also kept getting jammed because of moisture in the tank. They work well if you have a catch for moisture coming off of your compressor. Otherwise, don't bother. You'll be frustrated.

Just read this entire thread. I went through a similar situation recently to get my Celica back into my ownership. Worked out in the end though, much like you. Any other car, I would have let go.

I got a serious case of déjà vu reading those pages.

Sandblasting requires good source of dry air at 100 psi. Otherwise it's a pita. I use playsand that I sift but with a good respirator. It's cheap.

Finally registered the car! Next inspection and then driving. I hate that it's so hard to get stickers these days.. hopefully when I get the cat installed it shouldn't be a problem. Why did I put this off so long? Smaay cali is too far!!

Thanks for all the support!

Soda-blasting is where it's at these days anyway. tongue.gif You could always move to Alabama, and start driving it the next day. Yay no inspections. tongue.gif Hmm, maybe you can fit Smaay into a box and ship him out to your place.

Do you still have caliper issues? I have a pair of stock GT calipers if you need them. Are you coming to the CSP meet?

Edit: Never mind, I missed that it was a rear caliper.

Question is.. when I first got the pump working fluid came shooting out the intercooler. I knew it was working..now I hear the pump working but no fluid moving. Am I missing something?

I took it for a test drive the intercooler feels cool and I hear the pump but still no fluid moving.

Never mind second test drive and intercooler system is working great!

Hey Shannon, I got your rear calipers, don't know if Mike told you. They work, don't leak, and the bleeders turn free. I can ship or bring to the meet.
