So I've been driving around the past few months without an ebrake. I've gotten kinda sick of driving around and having to park in gear all the time, so I figured it was about time to put on the hardware kit i bought for the ebrake.

But ohhh man......boy am i confused! I searched the forums and found diagrams and tried using those, but I can't make head or tales of those things! Is it just me or does this hardware kit include a lot of stuff you don't even need??? How in the world do you attach those springs at the top of the ebrake shoes to the ebrake shoes?!?!

Does anyone have any detailed pictures of their rear disk brake with the rotors off that they could possible upload for me to see?
Thanks!

Needle nose pliers is what you use, its easy to change the shoes not that hard just put it back in the same way u take it out thats what I did I didn't even use a manual lol I would get new cups, springs and pins too.

Edit: You will need to adjust the ebrake tension (the clicks) on the center console too batman did a write-up on how to adjust the ebrake tension on the center console its somewhere in these forums, which is also easy too.

ohhh thanks guys, i figured it out. Yeah, the ebrake is still way to loose, i'll adjust it tomorrow moring

as for what happened to my ebrake in the first place...well. I did my brakes months ago, and it just so happens i needed a new hardware kit when i pulled off my rear rotors, but i couldn't get a kit the same day. So I just threw on the brakes and have been riding around with no ebrake ever since, UNTIL NOW! biggrin.gif

no more holding in the brake on hills while waiting! biggrin.gif
