Just wanted to know if anyone has done a 2 battery system on their celi (or any other car)? Were did you place they other battery and what did you have running off of it?

It would have to go in the trunk, but u'd have to have it connected to the alternator or else it would die pretty quick.

hey mac i think you might have emailed me about this but anyway, i would just upgrade your current battery and alternator because a seperate battery won't do a whole lotta good if your alternator can't keep 'em both charged up i'd use a couple of capacitors in the trunk ran in parallel to the amps. i'm running around 2k watts and my lights dim a little, but that's with a stock alternator and only a 1 farad capacitor. If you've got a 5 speed an easy way to get a few more amps is to get an alternator for an automatic they tend to run anywhere from 10-20 amps higher output amperage.

I don't think i emailed.. you but thinks for the info... well what i was looking for was to see if anyone had any ideas i haven't had yet.. well i have done a 2 battery system on other cars.. they worked fine .. one was just for the alarm system the other battery was just for everything else.

i'm guessing that if it was just for the alarm though it wouldn't have any effect on the car when it was running other than the initial drain to charge it up when the car was started. don't get me wrong, i'm by no means saying it can't be done or that you shouldnt try it.
