As a North American sixth-gen Celica, you've got a 5SFE in your car.

However, much of the information you're looking for is on the home page of this site, under the info articles. As for turboing this engine, despite it being an economy head (thus the F rather than G designation) it can produce some pretty impressive results. Search 5SFTE. Of course, there's a stickied thread at the top of this forum which might also be of interest. In fact, there's stickied threads at the top of every forum, including the forced induction forum.

No, it looks like a hooker put her acid vag on your hood. Acid vag = bigger problem than a few dings.

just to echo everyone else, search around a little and you'll find all sorts of GT's that have either turbo'ed their 5sfe or swapped in a 3sgte (turbo'ed motor from the gt-4 offered overseas)

btw, for your engine designation:
5 - displacement code (2.2 L)
S - block series
F - head type (F=efficiency G=performance)
T - turbo (z=supercharged)
E - I have no idea what this stands for. 'Engine' maybe?

researching is a must before you dive in head first into something. and this site is a great resource, but by no means is it your only source.

there's a lot more involved than just strapping a turbo on. read some of the other 5sfte build threads in the forced induction section.
