My girlfriend was driving my celica and a lady made a left turn into a parking lot as my girlfriend was driving by the entrance to the parking lot. she hit the celica in the front driverside. Kim is alright, and so is the other driver.. ill post pictures once the insurance decides what to do with it. i had it towed to the body shop im working at. i think it will be totalled. destroyed the drivers fender, hood, Front bumper, and probably the right side fender. looks like the Right Frame rail is moved over also. New radiator is cracked, and front engine mount is bent.

The driver of the 97 civic is taking full cause for accident. so thats one positive piece out of this.

Pics soon. (was getting ready to paint it next month too..)

Glad to hear that everyone is alright. I sincerely hope for your sake that it isn't totaled out. You work at a body shop, so you know what to look for though. On the bright side, at least you hadn't already spent the money to have it painted yet. If it isn't totaled, then this is nothing more than a great opportunity to do what you want with it! Best of luck with everything.

Woo my 4 accidents in less than a year give me some advice here!

Since the other driver is at fault, insurance CAN NOT total your car, they can however total the other driver's. The other insurance company will front the cost of whatever repairs, paint and labor it will take to redo the car - however, if the frame is bent, I would keep the money and buy a new used Celica - if the damage is as bad as you say, it could run up to 10 grand - enough to grab yourself a GT-4 perhaps?

Side note: This is how it works in NY, anyway. May be different in OK, but my '94 was damaged well over KBB and NADA value when my ex-girlfriend's step dad backed into it in the driveway, and they fronted the cost of everything.

Edits/Side note and typoed "NADA"

Allstate Ins. guy came out to the shop today. gave his initial evaluation of the cars total value. the allstate program rated it at $2770. NADA says $3850 clean retail condition. he says that allstate will call me tomorrow to give me an offer. im hoping i can get at least 2k for the car after buy back. ill post pics after he comes by and ill let ya know what i decide as far as keeping the car to fix, part out, or let it total.

Glad your GF is ok, wow you sure have a ton of good parts on that car for a $200 investment. I'd buy another celi with your 2500 and then have that car sitting around for any part it might need in the future.

That sucks horrible, man, but things happen for a reason. Glad your girl and you are fine. Anyway, because we're vultures here, if you decide to part it out, I'm need the entire rear interior and seats with all the hardware BAD.

well, im gonna be using the money to move back to NY. so i pulled the frame back out, tore a piece of the headlight pocket in the process. i bought a GT four front from a person in Canada. got all 4 headlights, gt four bumper with fogs and hardware, rail ends, hood, fenders, . ill pick it up once i move. but heres the temporary fix. had some other fenders i bought a few months back that came in very damaged from everspringsports on ebay. but i threw those on for now.

heres the pics. looks like a clown car..

i welded the tear back up before i coated with seam sealer.

Not bad, not bad! A little paint and it's as good as new!
