Got into the car yesterday, turned the car on, got this awful groan from the back of the car! looked over and the aerial wasn't going up... got out and noticed instead of sitting flush, it was stuck at a height of 5in (10cm) and would not go down any further. I manually pulled the aerial up so i could listen to the radio while i was crusin around! Just wondering if any of you guys know where i can go to find out how to fix it myself (I've only had the car a month now, cant really afford to spend money to fix it atm). I'm thinking i can do it myself... just need to know how to go about it!!!

Get a new mast, and replace the mast assembly. The motor sounds like its still good.
But personally, I just took my antenna off and made a new one by wrapping wire around my trunk lid. You could also replace it with the S2000 Antenna. |

You can attempt your own diy, search for the how to on the S2000 conversion, or buy the complete new part from Toyota. Good luck! |
