So I ordered a blue with white indicators climate control unit from pittfirefighter and a Roscolux light gel swatch book to make everything match. Here is a side by side comparison of a blue led from superbrightleds.com and the "blue" 194 bulb that you get at Autozone or a similar store. In case you can't tell the led's are in the left and center and the bulb on the right.
No comparison!!! The"blue" bulb looks green, and the led is so bright you can see it during the day, but not so bright it blinds you at night. I would suggest these if you want a new look without installing aftermarket gauges!!! Yeah let us know, because that is a HUGE difference. I am using the red bulbs from Autozone and they aren't so bad as opposed to the red wedge leds I had. However those are perfect!

So the quantity is per bulb/LED? Or do they come in pairs?

The LED is probably fine, your problem is most likely that it is not contacting properly in the back because it's too tall. Take the center one out and swap it to the right side - it won't light up either. This is the problem I had with the same ones from autolumination. They worked on the left side and in the center, but they didn't make proper contact to the copper in the rear on the left and wouldn't light up.
Which is why I chose the style LED that I did. This post has been edited by 95CelicaST: Sep 8, 2009 - 8:31 AM -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

I'm not that stupid, I tried that! Plus the 194 bulb is still working as shown in the pic. I switched it out 180 degrees, I tried it in the other sockets in the dash, I tried it in the door, and I ordered some white leds and they worked in the same spot in the gauge cluster. I know its the led. -------------------- Failing to prepare is preparing to fail!

I bought the 194 5LED Wedge matrix bulbs from autolumination.com. There is another thread here where I posted pictures and gave more details.

Dang dude! That's good enough! Those look real good! Sorry if I was confusing, I made that post when I was drunk, I ment the color of the clock, I cant even see it during the day... Oh ya, and the customer service was cool, I had to pay $1.32 to send the bad one back, but that was better than the $5.95 to buy a new one and the $5 for shipping... how many did you need? like 3 ? If your talking about the lights for the gauges, yes 3. If you are talking about the light gels I only used one but you can put a couple together to find the right color.... -------------------- Failing to prepare is preparing to fail!
