You can order a set of Corbeau seat brackets. They come with sliders installed, and are $99 each. They'll sit lower than those sparco ones as well.
edit: The Corbeau ones bolt right to the OEM mount locations, but on one of mine I had to cut a bit out because they were off by just a hair. No big deal. one thing a lot of people don't realize is that there are a lot of things that you will need to purchase other than the seat to be able to install them into your car. typically on racing seats you are going to need the seat base (car specific), sliders (if you want to be able to move the seat, but not mandatory), and the side brackets, as well as all the hardware to attatch everything. if you want to stick with sparco stuff, here's the parts you would need.
seat bases: http://www.sparcousa.com/pseats_acc.asp?id=678 side mounts(there are more than one, so i just put the steel ones): http://www.sparcousa.com/pseats_acc.asp?id=153 sliders(optional): http://www.sparcousa.com/pseats_acc.asp?id=156 |

Tigawoods has my old harness bar. You should see if he'll pull it out and have a couple made.

I'd suggest to get brackets and sliders directly from Sparco USA website. I got mine there and with only one minor issue they worked like a charm.

If you bought cheap bombz seats then you should sell them. They're not going to hold up in a crash.

If you bought cheap bombz seats then you should sell them. They're not going to hold up in a crash. i dont have a job so bomz is gonna have to do,but i have to buy sparco seat brackets for $200 so thats great if saving some money now and being crippled is ok with you, then thats your choice. personally, if i were you, i would wait until you can afford reputable seats and stick with the stock seats until then. also why spend more in the long run and have some POS seats when you would actually save money in the long run by just saving the cash and getting sparcos the first time? |
