Resurrecting this little thread here. Out of curiosity.. Is it at all possible to take an affordable model of evo (such as evo 9) and make it look like a celica? I have seen miracles done to pontiac fiero frame to make replica cars of different makes. I wonder if after significant modification similar thing could be done to an evo with a few engine upgrades. Imagine pulling up to some chump driving an evo 9 and smoking the hell out of him (on a closed road of course).

I know what you're referring to. Those ferrari fiero kits right? The reason those exist is because the fiero's exterior is plastic on top of plastic on top of plastic. Basically you have an inner shell, upon which the whole plastic exterior is bolted. Its no big deal to bolt on a different set.

as far as the whole evo/celica conversion goes, you have tow completely different body styles. one is a sedan, the other is a hatchback/coupe. and the whole bolt on exterior thing isn't gonna work as easily as it does on the fiero. I bet with enough money you could get a gt4-ish font end on an evo but... why?
