Ok so I Pulled a Valve Cover off a Camry at my local junk yard and I started cleaning it, I removed the old broken PCV valve located in the top right of the cover and while i was cleaning it I heard a rattling nose and seen theres a small O-Ring about the size of the hole where the PCV valve was at. Its about the size of the hole and i can't pull it out anyone got any Idea's what's this for and if theres a way I can get it out?

No idea on what its for....maybe part of the gromet for the PCV valve....or maybe someone thre an o ring on there. As far as getting it out, a pair of hemostats might come in handy. Im not sure if the baffles on the cover have opening on it or not, been awhile. This post has been edited by Spider77: Sep 19, 2009 - 6:44 PM |

Thats what it is, a piece of the pcv gromet that got all hard and cracked. You should be able to get it out very carefully with needle nose pliers. Chances are it'll break in half when you try to remove it so be ready for that.

Your going to need a really thin set of needle nose pliers, thats why i suggested the hemostats.

soak it in mineral spirits, that'll soften the rubber so its a little less crumbly.
