Wow. Nice find.
Ok experts. What's wrong with it? Too good to be true? -------------------- "Remember, amateurs built the ark and professionals built the Titanic. But revolutionaries built the Celica!"- Me |

I personally wouldn't buy a turbo off of ebay. $400 dollars is pretty cheap for all that stuff, but normally you get what you pay for Save your pennies and get a good quality turbo kit or say F it...buy the kit and let us know how it works out for you.

It'll fit but those Chinese turbos are not too durable. Save your money for real stuff. Going cheap with turbo stuff ends up being more expensive in the long run.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/90-95-TOYOT...sQ5fAccessories. I know i would need new exhaust to go along with it. just wondering if it would fit. Yes, this setup will fit, but not without some work. The turbo adapter will place the wastegate directly above a 5sfe and GEN2 3sgte oil filter, so you would have to remove your wastegate to able to the change your filter. You would also need to have a custom downpipe made to fit the turbo, and connect to your stock/aftermarket exhaust. As for parts. I have had VERYYYY good experience with the knock off t3 57 trim shown here. In fact Shannon (SuperShannon77) set and owns the stock long block record for the 5sfe motor....making 285whp and 300wtq on this same exact turbo. The biggest problem people run into is running without and oil restrictor...which causes them to believe there turbo is shot, due to smoke coming out of there tailpipes...which makes them think the seals are shot. When actually they are just over feeding the turbo oil, which is getting past the seals. Now, I am not saying ALL knock off turbos are going to be in 100% condition, because I would never say that....I am just stating my experience with them. As for the manifold, you dont want it. It will crack over time, so dont bother with it. Just replace with it a stock exhaust manifold from a GEN2 3sgte. As for the Wastegate, I have heard very good things about them. So that is up to you to try it. But there are alot of people having great success with them...and most people who bad mouth them, never actually used one. Its just fun to jump on the band wagon I suppose ..... So if you dont buy this kit, here is a run down for you of parts it you buy it separately stock GEN2 3sgte exhaust manifold 50 shipped Kncok off T3 57 trim turbo 150 shipped Knock off 38mm wastegate 60 shipped CT26 to T3 turbo adapter 50 shipped Total 310 shipped for everything. So for less money, you could "build" a kit that is of better quality then the kit listed. All because it is shinny, doesn't always mean it is a good deal --------------------

Definitely not trying to jump on any band wagons here...just stating my personal opinion. I've never used an ebay turbo before so I can't bash them. I think you make a good point Jim talking about your very good experience and how his might not be the same. Buy at your own risk

BTW, do not try to instal the turbo and manifold the way they are in the pics of the link. The turbo is installed backwards and the adapter too vs the manifold position. Simply want to point it out so anyone ask this question in the future.
