kinda weird. i was driving along, and i let off the gas pressed the brake pedal and my radio turned off then came back on. i dont think its the physical changing of the momentum because it happen while stopped. i started the car, let my foot off the brake, then pressed the brake and just as i set my foot on the pedal it happened. radio went off and came back on. nothing else seems to be affected tho. not the lights, a/c, windows, guages, or engine.
any suggestion on what i should test? or replace first. Thanks, Erich |

Check the wiring, theres a short with either your radio wiring or your tail lights circuit. -------------------- Mike W

^^^ x2. I've seen it happen where the circuit can be broken for just a moment, just enough to shut the radio off, but it didn't seem to affect anything else because it wasn't off long enough. If everything is tight there, then I don't know what to tell you.

I bet it does the same thing when you turn your wipers on right? my 89 was doing the same thing and I fixed it by giving my battery a good overnight trickle charge....I'm suspecting the alternator is on its way out though

wasn't raining, so didn't really try with the wipers. got it fixed for now tho. seemed to be the cable connections at the battery posts. the positive side was really corroded. i replaced the terminal 2 weeks ago, but it seems to be corroding quite fast. all problems are gone now. we'll see how long this lasts.

it helps to lightly sand the battery terminals clean and add dielectric grease all around for improved connection and to reduce its chances for oxidizing..
how old is your battery btw? -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
