Great pictures Brian, those are the most detail-oriented photos of the car I've seen yet. Can't wait to drive one either. You managed to snap the right color as well!
Two things that stand out: I was reminded of the fact that it wasn't a hatchback when I saw the trunk open, and that clock is old-school indeed! Looks more aged than the one in the Celica, yet it's the same basic design. Interesting. Thanks for those detailed shots! Definitely helps in deciding if I'd be looking into buying one. I think the test drive is going to be the huge deciding factor for most of us though.

After being able to sit in an FR-S and feel it, I definitely am starting to save up for one. I'll only be keeping the Celica in running shape. No more unnecessary mods! The last step is to test drive one when it's available.

I'm torn between the FR-S/BR-Z and a 2012 GTI.

I think the BR-Z lacks some of the creature comforts that the GTI has. It's all going to come down to how well the auto trans shifts. DSG is a tough competitor.

I went to the NY auto show yesterday.
sat on both BRZ and FRS. hmm interior feel ? a bit plain, not much going on there, like very basic. which is good for performance ( lightweight ) but makes it a little hard on the wife convincing factor lol. driving position is good, but those seats will have to go, maybe because I have recaros in my car now and I'm spoiled, they felt sporty and confortable but not like designed for me. The BRZ looked better exterior wise just because they had a nice shade of blue, where the FRS had a grey and a hot lava orange which I dislike, front bumper I found to be better looking on the FRS but BRZ has a nice looking little spoiler. at the end of the day it will come down to price and options, the starting price is lower on the FRS but we;d still have to compare options to options to see what's really the best deal. from what I gather yesterday the scion will still be a better deal for their true pricing and it has ( as a base ) pretty much same options as the base BRZ ( which they are calling premium ) Subaru is marketing their BRZ in 2 trims, Premium and limited where Scion is just giving you a big list of available modifications ( not yet published as far as I know ) all in all, I will be buying one, in 2 years, used, no point on me buying a brand new car just so I can take it apart a void the manufacturers warranty. -------------------- |
