I engine enameled my valve cover a while back, and it looks really good. the enamel is like 500 degrees rated or something, and i knew it would be fine for the valve cover. But im not sure if i can paint the exhaust manifold, "cover thing" because mine is dirty and looks like crap. and i can not find headers that will not eliminate my my cat (i have a 94 ST 7A-FE).
does any one think this will work, not work? I dont know how hot the thing gets, and i dont want it like melting or catching on FIRE?!
thanks to any one who can helpp smile.gif

that may work for the heat shield.

as for the header issue, yes anything available will eliminate the pre-cat but you'll still be able to pass a running emissions test but not a visual one and make a small modification to keep the check engine light away.

good luck if you like to smell burnt paint, you need ceramic paint up to 1200 degrees, its from experience...

nevermind the color, but this is ceramic

after 1000 miles and still ok

Better idea.. take 220, 320, and a 600 grit to it with some aluminum shiner, and have your own engine mirror.
