Looking at the GT4 hood with there just being a whole in the middle of the hood, wouldn't it be better if it had the WRX style hood scoop as air would better get sucked in and also water wouldn't drip in there if you remove the rain gaurd.

The purpose of the vent on the GT4 is to let heat out from the Turbo and manifold. Not to low air in. It's a different concept with the Scoobies.

The Scoobies have the scoop there to aid in guiding air INTO the air to air intercooler that sits on top of the motor. Much like the st185. If you do a google search, you will notice the change from a scoop to a vent in the st185 to the st185RC/CS and the st205. The water to air intercooler does not require the air flow as it uses its own working fluid to transfer heat. Thus, no need for a scoop. The vent was added in its place to aid in reducing the under-hood temps resulting from the turbo/exhaust assembly. -------------------- ~bloodMoney
