damn... just yesterday I did that on my car and didn't made any pic . it's easy to do but you need to remove half of dash (that's pain in... etc) and to have proper tool in your hand (extension for wrench because there is not much space around). If you have any picture of shifter I can draw what you need to do...

what are you guys talking about??? there are two U shaped clips... you pull them out from the top and then the cable slides to release it from the binding... you pull directly up on the U shaped bracket
sales and service.. EDIT: PICS This post has been edited by pittfirefighter: Nov 7, 2009 - 2:42 PM -------------------- Breaking Axles...

(that white plastic). I talked also about complete replacing the shifter chassis. -------------------- No more replicas... This is evolution... This is SS-four :)

i was able to work my stock shifter assy out and the TRD one in without removing the lower dash.
just takes a bunch of cursing, and a lot of wiggling and finessing. lol -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

From what I remember, it does make it easier to remove the center compartment, then loosen the screws that hold in the center console where the assembly is at and move it in a certain position to get more room. You will need to just remove the screws that hold the center.
