A guy I know is working on getting the authentic arising II kit imported from japan. The kit itself is roughly $2g's. Does that seem like a fair price and how much more do you think shipping would be?

When it comes down to it, there is no "fair" price for an authentic JDM kit. For starters, from what I hear, the authentic kits from Japan fit perfectly and need minimal, if any, modifications to pit perfectly. Secondly, they are made upon order. There isn't some shop that has about a thousand sitting around, waiting for people to order them. Shipping costs would probably be like 500-1000 bucks, but that's just what I've heard. I'm not so sure on that. Finally, the waiting time for these kits can go into upwards of three months (and possibly longer).

Shipping and other misc fees might be around $500 to $700 extra...

Thanks for the input guys. I just heard back and it is roughly $2500 shipped to my friends shop. I'll be ordering the kit in a few weeks and then saving for installation and paint. No set date when this phase will be completed, but i'll be sure to post pics as it progresses.
