I used to play counter strike.... and my girlfriend at the time gave me an ultimatum. (this was i guess very early 2000 something) it was her or the game.. so I chose her... and she all of a sudden got a lot of me in her face all the time... Then I dumped her and went back to playing counter strike. Not too many people get dumped over a video game.. but I taught her better ;-p

Couple of years ago there was all this fuss on the news about "detrimental effects" of video games on relationships... when spoken by those who never played video games and when addressed to those who never played video games the above statement makes sense... but that bias overlooks the fact that if there is a problem in a relationship... does not matter if you play video games or not.
