behind the timing belt.... as in, Under it? is it coming from around where the timing gears are? or behind it as in the back of the block ( the side facing the firewall )

looks like the oil is comming from the side facing the passenger tire, and looks like it is just under the timing belt. I can be sure though without removing the cover, thats the next step i guess. frown.gif kind of a bummer now that the engines in the car

First i'd look at the valve cover bro... it could be leaking from the passanger side of the engine. the wiring harness that runs thru the engine between the valve cover and the timing cover, push the back side up it will pop out, then push up and towards the radiator. look under it. any oil?

another option would be cam seals (bearings)

If its on the timing side, make sure its not PS fluid. If its not then more than likely its your oil pump seal. As for vac leaks, did you swap over the intake mani? If so did you replace the gasket?

almost positive it isnt the valve cover, but god i really hope it is. After a while i couldnt get the engine started again to see where the leak was comming from, so i called it a day. Yes i did change the intake manifold, and no i didnt replae the gasket, but the gasket was in very good shape, so i reused it. tomorrow ill double check the valve cover, Im starting to think it may be the oil pump gasket. frown.gif. Could have been a pre existing problem with the engine.

Update: well it isnt the valve cover, and it isnt the power steering fluid. The oil is pouring out from the back side of the timing belt cover, and seems to be comming from the bottom. Here is a video of the oil pouring out. Does anyone know what this could be? Video of oil pouring out under timing cover

I'm telling you, its the front seal. The seal on the oil pump that the crank goes through. Remove the harmonic balancer and timing gear and you can inspect that seal. What kind of material was the intake manifold gasket made out of? It may have looked good, but you should have replaced it, unless you are pretty strapped for cash.
