I am using Garrett GT3071R Turbo from ATP (.64A/R) and it kicks exactly from the same point as my previous turbo (CT20b). 3071R On my last dyno (i month ago) i had 331Whp @ 1.2bar. The response of that turbo with 3SGTE is amazing. are you using the internal wastegate version magic? -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Hey presure2 ![]() No,we tried to use it with internal wastegate actually but we couldnt raise the boost and we decide to add external wastegate..... |

The 3071R is a great turbo. Did u go with the 2.75" or the 3" Inlet?
The site says the S250 spools like a GT28rs but makes more power |

I have the new turbo installed!!!
![]() I had to do the following to get the kit in: - use different bolts on the DP - get a different O2 bung welded in cause original one hits the A/C unit - had to change exhaust pipe to fit the DP - add a spacer between the exhaust manifold and the block cause the turbo was hitting the trans housing - drill the vac line into the turbo for boost controller - change the spring on the WG to 8lbs cause of boost creep issues - weld a fitting on the oil pan return drain which comes from the bottom of the turbo (keep leaking) - use a shorter oil return line cause the one in the kit was too long and it was bending - buy a fitting for the turbo oil feed line - weld reinforcement brace on DP for the WG I thought I could just drop it in and go, but I guess this comes from my different engine (Gen4) and of lack of knowledge of a turbo upgrade. It was easier to do the engine swap that it was to upgrade the little turbo. Plus change the fuel pump and the knock sensor (but that was to clear the codes I got after the install) I'm only at 10lbs of boost until I can tune things. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
