After watching that video about Eric Banas "Beast" I thought I would take a closer look at the Targa Tasmania and see what it was all about...in the entrants list I found this

http://www.targa.org.au/Competitors/profil...ye%20-%20Modern

anyone here or does anyone know the car/owners?

Would love to have a go at something like this but it costs rather alot of money...maybe if I win the lottery or someting.

Being prob the only tasmanian on here i belive ill anwser.

Dont know those dudes, there is always at least 1 gtfour in targa, usually a 185, but every second year there is a 205.

A 205 actually won in 1995, beating honda nsx's, gtr's, thousands of porches etc.

The bana movie is alright, although it makes us look lke a bunch of bogans when they interviewed that stooge and his mrs wanting to buy his coupe in campbell town or wherever it was.

I really liked the Eric Bana movie...top marks from me...would like to have a go at the Targa Tasmania one day, but seeing the cost of applying let along entering is very expensive...even an application costs $600AUS.

That guy was certainly a character thats for sure smile.gif theres people like that everywhere.....he had an unerring passion for his car...thats good enough to make him cool. smile.gif

Targa is awsome, my favourite kind of motorsport smile.gif, I'd love to go in it one day. My dad is close friends with some of the old vintage volvo team and met fair few of the drivers, he said there were no GT4's last year frown.gif.
