I was reading through my 94 Celica brochure and it says there was a suspension upgrade option available for the GT. Seeing that I'm not the original owner of my car how would I know if my car got this option? I always thought the suspension was the same between the ST & GT USDM versions.

I've read that there was. I think the GT and ST got basically the same suspension, but the GT came with an available "sports package" with a stiffer suspension. If I'm not mistaken, it was badged a GT-S in Canada. But it's been a while since I read anything about that, so the GT-S might be something completely different.

I believe there was also a TRD suspension kit (I'm positive on them having TRD springs as a CTO). Not sure how much it's stiffer by. Oh, and good luck finding a set...

I still have the window sticker from when my car was on the lot. It says I have the Sport suspension setup but I can't see what is different about it. I had thought that it meant that the front struts were the type that didn't have cartridges but as my car sits right now it has cartridge struts in the front. They may have been switched out before I got the car.

the struts that came on my car had sealed front struts.. and i have a GT-S.
imo it didn't feel any sportier than normal struts. and i'm sure the springs were the same because it still gave that tall 4x4 ride height.

The GT I had came with the sports package. The only difference between a sport package GT from a regular 94-95 GT and ST is the sealed from struts. From 96-99 I believe all the struts were sealed.

from what i have read previously in many places is that the "sports" suspension was just a stiffer strut
