Actually, the ironic thing is that they did all that stuff to it and it lasted... only to have them shoot at it with a shotgun.

I know it's evil of me, but when they were pushing it, you have no idea how much I was hoping the car would roll backwards and run the lot of them over.

Celica lasted 3:03
Ford would have lasted :52
Chevy would have lasted 1:40
Honda would have lasted 2:58

Just kidding, I dunno. I hate to see stuff like this, especially to our Toyotas (all of the within the family), but I just want to make a point... You really one see one type of people do this, and I will just leave that subject alone after that statement, because my people and those who feel me know what I mean.

This reminds me of those vids of people destroying 360s or PS3s at launch in front of parents who couldn't get one in lines at major toy stores...just to be dicks. Seriously, I hope they all go to hell.

I drove a monte carlo into the ground. It sat in the back of our 6 acre property for 10+ years. We got it running and made dukes of hazard proud. Car eventually was reduced to a sorry memory of its former self and then caught on fire. Fire department had trouble getting to it cause it got stuck in the middle of a field with all kinds of ditches and offroad mumbo jumbo in the way.

Only thing I saw wrong with this video is that they dumped the car into what looked like a sinkhole thus polluting the aquifer.

your attitude towards this video is hate because the car being put down is a celica.
personally hated that gen and if my beater ever comes to that point, better believe i would do the same thing..

comparing it to the guys who destroyed the ps3's and 360's is not correct.
now take a high end car and drive it brand new off the lot into a wall. that would be a good comparison. this is like taking your old game system like a sega master system II that doesnt work half the time and destroying it.

someone must have really low self esteem to stand in line for 6 hours in the dark with a bunch of strangers, spend 400 dollars on a system that could fetch 2000 on ebay that same week and then destroy it.

I don't care what car it is, if it runs, why destroy it? I feel the same way about when I watch TV (I rarely do) and see people wasting food, knowing damn well I can walk a city block and find someone who is starving. I am not saying I am perfect either, but I try to keep things like that in mind when I know there are families out there who have to ride the bus because they can't afford a decent running vehicle, and then I see this. All you need to do is look in the newspaper and you see those low income families that need cars, or even a kid who's parents won't help him get a car while all the other kids at his school do. I have a neighbor like that and I kinda feel bad for him. Sure his parents are giving him $1k as a grad present once he is done with high school, but it's not enough to get a decent running vehicle. Especially knowing his parents helped his brother get 2 cars. ANyways, I am just saying..... Its not about driving crazy in a car, but shooting at it? That's excessive.

how do you know that car was is good running condition? for all you know it was prob on its way out and the cost to fix it was more likely more than the cost of the car. is it your car? no. so why be so upset about it? he is the owner of the car. he can do what he wants. i would rather kill the car and have fun with it than pass off my problematic car to a kid who cant afford to fix it.

I agree, he can do what he wants, but to waste something like that is just unappreciative. I only assume it was in good running condition as it was drivable and seemed to have some power as a good stock one would.

my point exactally.
this car was most likely on its way out. so why not have fun with its last signs of life? i mean i dont care what kind of car it is. if its almost dead and worthless due to the fact it will cost more to fix it than its worth and has problems, id rather run it into the ground rather than sell it to someone to make them have problems.
just because this is a celica the fanboys here are getting their panties in a bunch, i say who cares and have fun with me.

One of my old buddies had an old rolla that he bought for 50 bucks and drove around for 4 years. It was one of those where if you got one guy on each corner, and did a bit of coordinating, you could make the car jump. It didn't have a muffler, but then it didn't need one because all the exhaust came out from under the hood anyway. You could hear that mug from miles away. It was called the Tomato... aaaannnndddd we drove it off a cliff. Good ole brick on the gas trick. And it was ****ing glorious!
