I was wondering how or if I can even remove my cruise control. I don't have the cap that covers it and it rattles to the point that it drives me crazy. I have plenty of time on my hands now that school is out, and I really want it out of there. I cut the wires when I installed my new steering wheel, so I know it is at least safe enough to have that control switch removed for it. But I want the hole dang thing out of there!

yes you can. i took mines out when i dropped the trans. IIRC 2 plugs, undo the linkage that controls the speed, and 3 bolts should be under the battery.

You cut it at the firewall and then from the inside, pull it and cut the excess.

That's what I did on mine when I installed my CAI since it was in the path

Doesn't it go to the throttle though? When I pull the cable it moves the throttle. I am a little scared to remove it seeing that. Is it really just as simple as "unhook" and be done?

it moves the throttle because when you engage the CC it pulls and holds the throttle pedal biggrin.gif I dunno about cutting it though I'd just find a way to tuck it.

Cool. But where do I unhook it from beyond the firewall? I just see it on the module in the engine bay.
