Well I dont know if the States is the same as here in Australia. But this is how it is here.

The most common model is the Celica SX, which comes with the 5SFE engine.
The top of the line is the ZR which comes with the same engine, but has things like ABS, Airbags and Sunroof etc.

I have never heard of a GT-R in the 6th Gen, but certainly in the 5th Gen has a model called the GT-R which comes with the 3SGE and 4 Wheel Steer.

And currently a 1995 Celica SX

I'm not, and I was making fun of the guy who listed it as a GT-R in that last part.

That's my job to be a jackass.

OP- There were Celica GT-R models outside of the states in previous generations. I have seen a 5th gen Celica GT-R online a few times.

As for the one you're looking at - its probably a GT and the seller through the "R" in the title to bring in the buyers.

I have heard about the 6th gen GT-R in the past, but it's just called the GT-R in some Countries. It is basically an ST203 with the available AWS from 1994-1997.

Per wikipedia, the 'GT-R' is just an SS-I with 4WS, designated ST203.

I'm confident no one in the US has one, but what sounds like even more of a sham is a 95 Celica with 60k miles and driving problems!

Too bad those Tamiya models are so expensive...my dad and I built a 1976 911 that he had received for his graduation (most likely in the same year), and I'd love to do another one.

The ST203 with 4WS was never called/labelled/badged as a Celica GT-R. only badged as '4WS' on the back where the 'superstrut suspension' sticker usually goes.

Actually, there was a Celica GT-R in the states, but it was a 7th gen Celica. Saw one up here in San Bruno...Derrick can vouch on this one as well, it was parked on the street he used to live at. Too bad I never got around to taking a pic of it...
