^ Davey, the mark of a true man is owning up to his mistakes and learning from them. Clearly he made his mistake and clearly he had learned from it. I understand that you really drive home the fact about how nasty the situation could of been but realistically nothing happened of serious consequence. So what I am trying to say here is that what happened to his car was almost a blessing because now he learned a VERY important lesson about how to avoid doing this again.

All I was trying to convey in this thread was that I made a mistake and it cost me the pristine condition of my car. I'm going to say this clearly now; I DO RECOGNIZE THE POTENTIAL RISK TO LIFE THAT A MISTAKE LIKE THIS CAN CAUSE.

In case you didn't properly read my last post:

I am EXTREMELY grateful that there was no loss or injury to life and limb, no damage to the other car involved and no real extensive damage to my Abby. The circumstances of the morning are very rare considering my living situation while I'm in school. So I'm not terribly concerned with this type of situation arising again.

Davey: I would like to assure you that the system was installed properly however, at the time of purchase, there were no failsafe systems available for vehicles equipped with manual transmissions. Now, there are extension modules that are available for my particular alarm/rem start system. After the car has been repaired, I WILL BE MAKING THIS PURCHASE. So rest assured, the chance of this happening again has been all but eliminated.
