Alright...I read all replies and it's kind of mixed. I definitely want power. I'm very much so considering a STi...just not too sure on the price and if I like it you know. My comments on the others...
The new Accords are kinda crappy to drive. I test drove one last weekend and it really wasn't that hot. Actually the only car I enjoyed driving at the Honda lot was the brand new S2000 which was pretty fun. The Mazda6 is nice, but actually more expensive than the MazdaSpeed. My friend just got a Speed yesterday though, so if it was the Mazda6s with the 3.0L V6 and also a manual I might look into it. My parents have a 96 626 LX with the JDM KL-ZE swap and it drives like crazy...mad fast and total sleeper. I am definitely baised towards Mazda nad Toyota since I drive htme both and love them. The idea of an AWD car gave light to the WRX, the Evo, or maybe selling my car to pay for shipping/taxes/whatnot and importing a GT4. That would be crazy. I don't know, i'm just glad so many fo you gave some valuable input. I will check out the VW and audi lots this weekend. I have yet to check out the 1.8T's and am anxious to see how they feel. Another thing, the Speed...well I guess I don't knwo yet cuz my friend dirves the hting like it is running on one cylinder, but I don't know how much power it actually has. It does have some bumpin features though...kick arsenal system, nice rims, great tires, boost, neat styling features...but I have yet to feel the boost. He said I could drive it today but then i'd never be able to drive it again and I said no...I have an RX to drive if I wanted to feel power lol. I'm just looking for a fun sedan for the winter...plus my girlfriend has a baby so it's kinda what I need. -------------------- 95 Toyota Celica GT

i picked the srt-4 simply for power vs. price i have heard of some reliability issues with them though. oh and under 35k, my hands down favorite is the lexus is300/toyota altezza. an inline 6 with that much potential superb handling and a factory torsen lsd!!!!
